Riese...
Here he is! Riese Douglas Papadopulos aka RDP! We got a chance to meet him tonight and he is AWESOME! Riese was asleep for most of the time, but woke up right in time to say goodbye at the end. Nick and Kirst are doing well and it was cool to see them at home with their new baby boy. Congrats to Nick and Kirst!!!!

Baby Papadopulos...
The little Papadopulos has arrived! Nick and Kirst had their baby boy last night and he came in weighing a whopping 9lbs 9oz!!!!
Talked to Pap this morning and he says that baby and mom are doing just fine. Pap had only slept an hour or so and said he was tired, but was doing well.
Congrats to the two proud new parents, more details and hopefully a pic of the little guy to come soon!

Walla Walla...
We spent this past weekend over in Walla Walla, our home away from home. For those that don't know, Walla Walla is a small city in Eastern Washington known best for its world famous Walla Walla Sweet Onion and more recently its superb wines. We spent the weekend hanging out with family, playing golf, and watching the weather go from 90 degrees, to a torrential monsoon rainstorm, back to 90 degrees again!
My highlight for the weekend other than seeing family was Sunday morning golf with my brother-in-law, JB. We hit the links early...as in 7am tee time! The round was filled with adventure, which included camouflaging our golf cart with downed branches from the night before's storm, using a fat divot as our cart's hood ornament (with tee and all!), and witnessing Bilbo Baggins hit some nasty golf shots! (He lives here in Walla Walla!)
Walla Walla is money and a great change of pace from the everyday bustle and hustle we have here in the big city. If you have not visited WW yet, take a trip and kick back. Enjoy some good food, taste some great wine, and soak in the sights of the gorgeous countryside. Where else can you find a golf course where if you hook a drive off the tee box, you may find your ball lost in golden fields of wheat!
Thanks to the fam and see you guys again very soon!

Save our Sonics...
So this is a great photo taken from the Save our Sonics rally the other day. Nice to see that Kemp's family made it out to support our team. Sounds like a lot of Sonics greats will be making it out over the next several days to show their support of the team in Seattle. It's a long shot for the team to stay in Seattle, but hopefully we can get the team to honor the lease through 2010. At least that buys the city and potential Seattle investors some time to try and figure out another play to keep the team in the 206!

Jr. and his 600...
Every true Mariners fan has a special place in their heart for, "The Kid!" Ken Griffey Jr. blasted his 600th HR today and became just the 6th player in MLB history to accomplish that feat. Only he knows how much gas is left in the tank and we'll have to see how many HRs he ends his career with on his way to Cooperstown!
iPhone 3G...
So the wait is over, Steve Jobs introduced the new iPhone 3G today and announced that it will hit Apple and AT&T stores on Friday, July 11th! I've been waiting a grip for this bad boy and you can bet you'll find me in line that Friday morning with the masses to get mine! The new iPhone 3G will have true GPS, be 2X faster, and have a whole slew of new applications, all for half the price of the original iPhone. Plus it comes in a sleek black color. Good things come to those that wait!

Austin Hironaka...
So I gotta take some time and throw some love to my boy Austin who has been working his tail off the last few winters to make it in the world of professional snowboarding. When I first met Austin, he was a young grom with lots of potential and worlds of confidence. Over the years I've had the amazing privilege of watching Austin take that potential and mature into a full-blown mega ripper and feel (many, many people will agree with me on this) that he is THE next big thing out of Snoqualmie aka "Snocompton."
This fall he will have his first big video part in Think Thank's, "STACK FOOTY." Here is a snippet of some of the thrills and spills from Austin's winter. Make sure you go out and snag a copy of STACK FOOTY this fall to see Austin's full part.
Congrats my young buck, I can't wait to see the part!
